1. What's this site about? Rogue Current is a place where
you can connect and communicate with other people interested in
Southern Oregon.
2. How do I get started? If you'd just like to look around,
feel free. If you'd like to participate, you'll need to join. You
can do that by clicking on the "Sign Up" button on the right side
of the
home page.
3.
OK, I'm in. Now what? You can visit the
home page to respond to others'
posts, or find "My Page" on the navigation bar and check yourself
out.
4.
What should "My Page" include? This is your own home page
of sorts. If other members click on your name when it appears near
posts, they'll go to your page. You can add, change or delete a
photo of yourself or change look of your page here. When you add
content, you’ll always see reference to it on this page. The text
box is a great spot to add a personal introduction and applications
from other sources. This page is also a place to blog and showcase
photos.
5.
What is a friend, and how do I get one? If you find
people at roguecurrent.com you'd like to be able to send private
messages to or invite to your groups or events, you can add them as
your friends. Once you add friends, they will receive a
notification that you'd like to be friends. They can then choose to
accept the friend requests and become friends with you, or ignore
the request. To send a friend request to someone on
roguecurrent.com, go to their profile page. Click the "Add as
friend" link under their profile photo.
6.
How safe is this site? While we do everything in our
power to provide a safe environment, you have no way of truly
knowing whom you are communicating with on a Web site. Please use
caution in sharing personal information with anyone you do not
know. We discourage the sharing of personal e-mail addresses, phone
numbers, home addresses and the like. This site is intended for use
by adults.
7.

9.
What should I do if I see content I don’t like but that isn’t
covered by the guidelines above? Not every discussion on the
site will fall in line with the values/morals/lifestyles of every
community member. We suggest you disregard the conversations that
are not appropriate for you.
10.
What action should I take if I am verbally attacked or
threatened, or spammed? Community members are expected to show
respect for one another and the opinions/views posted. It is up to
the community members to ensure that the site discussions are
positive, informative, supportive and entertaining. If you feel
attacked by another member, contact
the site manager via private
message. Personal attacks, in posts or private messages, will not
be tolerated.
11.
What’s the best way to handle a discussion that’s becoming
heated? Walk away. When it becomes obvious that a poster is not
willing to be open minded and accepting of others’ opinions, it is
pointless to continue the discussion. Walking away also gives you
time to calm down and get your emotions in check so you don’t post
a comment you’ll regret later.
12.

Current" link that will remove your profile and all material you
posted on the network. If you have other questions or concerns,
